1.Dry Mode:: When activated on dry mode, it sucks water from the air. The collected water is then emptied through a drain pipe. For water to be prevented from being collected in the air conditioning unit, the drain pipe should be maintained in a good condition to make the unit to work flawlessly.
2. Dry mode is used in monsoon to cool down the room but also removing excess moisture ( Humidity) present in air during rainy season. For example if humidity is 85℅ you can reduce it to 35℅ in 1 hour, but it takes longer time to being temp down then usual. Do not run this mode for more than 1.5 hour.
3. The unusual one is dry mode, which cycles the cooling unit in response to a humidistat. This runs the unit to keep the living space below a certain humidity, to regulate mold growth. Fan mode just keeps the air circulating in the living space, tending to equalize the temperature in all of your living spaces.
Always operate dry mode in a closed room. If room is not tightly closed outside humidity will enter inside and it will affect the function of your air conditioning. Remember dry mode is not heat mode, but it may give you warm feeling when it's too cold outside.
